So, apparently LJ only lets you go back 300 entries on your friends page. So, per LJ I guess I'm as caught up as I can be. If you think I've missed something let me know. I do know I'm current through 3/13/09 at least...

I'm also current on my e-mail again. I think I'm back for good and not going to get behind again. So, fill me in on anything I've missed and feel free to resume contacting me.

Your Bed Says You Have Your Head in the Clouds
Outward appearances aren't important to you at all. You think that the over emphasis on looks to be shallow.

You try to be an organized person, but you often fall behind. Certain parts of your life tend to fall into chaos.

You are not very high maintenance in general, but you are high maintenance about a few things.

In relationships, you tend to be quite dominant. You enjoy taking charge.

You tend to be a dreamy, head in the clouds type of person. You think in terms of possibilities.

You are a bit of a homebody, but you can also make yourself at home anywhere.

A year of many ups and downs. Half and half really. This year has brought me many new experiences, friends, and lessons. Eight highlights from this year:

1. My first house
2. Fearna's 1st paying gig
3. The purchase of my first lawn mower (which didn't fit in my car, thanks [livejournal.com profile] dragonsbane69) and weed whacker (which I can't start)
4. First household recycling program
5. My first foursome
6. My first live in boyfriend (who can start the weed whacker over his head)
7. Painting completion on my living room, bedroom, and computer room
8. My first matching living room set and bedroom set

Happy to have survived and looking forward to even more in 2009.

Yours truly was diagnosed with high cholesterol. My doctor is looking towards change of diet and excercise versus the pill. Which I agree with her, I'd like to take that route, but I don't think it will help.

So, today I decided to keep track of how much cholesterol I have eatten and I must admit I am shocked as I at least expected the number to be three times this amount. However, today, thus far, eatting normal, if not a bit more than normal, I have had a total of 30mg of cholesterol...

I'm thinking change of diet is not going to help. Eatting less and exercise may, but the foods I am picking are indeed low in cholesterol... *sigh* Insulin resistance sucks.

So, for the first time in my life I am using curbside recycling. I know the basic just of it. Been around to know that. But what I am wondering is what kind of a system you all who do the same thing use when it comes to your kitchen...

Not sure that is clear so allow me to try and clarify... I don't want a big green bucket sitting on my kitchen floor. So, do you guys have another trash can in the kitchen where you put it? Or do you have several containers? Or something else?

I will no longer be shopping in your county. Your constant tax increases have finally hit the point of ridiculous.

Just searching around and goofing off when I stumbled across MLS# 1474148. That's right. Evergreens is for sale. :-( Where are we all going to eat next year if it sells?!?!?! That also explains my mental notation of them finally replacing some of the ceiling tiles.

Working over time tonight, listening to my ipod. Helps the time fly by. Simon and Garfunkel come on with El Condor Pasa. Singing along in my head a verse sticks out...

"I'd rather be a hammer than a nail." I've always thought the logic made sense before, but in my sex craving world right now I couldn't help but think "I don't know, I love getting hammered... Not to say I haven't always wondered what it's like to do the hammering, but I wouldn't want to give up being hammered."

Mmm. Oversharing over...

Take a picture of yourself right now. Don't change your clothes, don't fix your hair... just take a picture. Post that picture with NO editing.

Yep, sitting in the dark, nude after mowing my lawn...

I think my ac is broken or something. Ugh. Yes, because I needed something else to cause my finances to go out of whack. Because apparently not paying my student loan last month was not enough. :-(

I'm not sure I'm going to survive this week. It was 82 in my house when I left. I have a busy ass week. A house that needs work and a disastrous lawn.

mer. Who is going to come rub my shoulders and neck? They hurt so bad... Perhaps after the ac is fixed otherwise I will most likely not enjoy it.

Call me old fashioned. I was raised that men hold doors for women. So, seeing and experiencing this in regards to elevators has always also applied.

However, over the last six months I've been watching this behavior with an increasing wonderment of why some men abide by this courtesy and some don't. More interesting was realizing that at my own work place you could almost tell by what floor a man chooses seems to determine whether or not he follows this courtesy. I assumed this was due to profession...

For example, I know that if a male hits the button for the 3rd floor that he is not going to follow this courtesy... 3rd floor is all computer geeks. There is one man in the last six months of me watching this who floored me as he extended this courtesy.

Attorneys are the others that I have noticed that are this way. You have 50/50 odds with them. I think some of them are just too absorbed with what's going on with them to notice you, others are just in a hurry, and a select few are assholes who don't care about any one but themselves. There is one who I deem fits the last category in the worst way; he actually pushes the close button if he sees you coming... Asshole...

Anyways, due to the answers received I'm starting to ponder whether some of the men on my list lie or whether or not it has to do with the type of people these companies are hiring or if the men that are on my friends list are there because they are kind, considerate gentlemen. I'm thinking one of the last two is probably the case.

Do you hold open the door for ladies?

Do you let ladies enter and exit the elevator before you?

What is your profession?
